Dawn Safari-- wildlife viewing by boat to view gibbons, hornbills, langurs, macaques, wild pig, raptors and jungle fowl.

Following a hearty breakfast we have time to relax in a hammock, swim, or canoe before crossing the lake to a trailhead where we start our jungle trek.

We explore in-depth some of the many wonders of the tropical evergreen forest along our 1-2 hr. hike route before enjoying a picnic lunch beside a creek.

The real adventure now begins as we work our way through the 500 meter long Namtaloo cave passage, following the course of the river which carved out the great chamber. Bats, cave toads, cave crickets, hunter spiders, scorpion spiders and cave aquatic life are abundant and provide fascinating glimpses into the cave ecosystems.

We return hike through the forest and then boat back across the lake where, at sunset, we can witness the spectacular exodus of thousands of flying fox (giant fruit bats) from the top of a high karst.
