Day 6 - Lowland Tropical Forest

Following breakfast we travel by mini van 1.5 hrs. to Khao Nor Chuchi lowland forest in Krabi Province. This is the last forest of its kind in Thailand and is home to one of the world's rarest and most beautiful birds - the Gurney's pitta.

We swim in dream-like artesian pools which issue clean and pure from deep in the forest, have opportunities to view pitcher plants, wild orchids, and to soothe tired muscles in a geothermal hotspring.

Following a picnic lunch we drive north another hour to the Krabi coast where we board boats to Koh Hong for our island beach camp.

Koh Hong is part of Than Bok Koranee National Park and has the most beautiful powder white beach in all of Thailand. We will camp in tents here and enjoy the use of clean flush toilets and showers provided by the National Parks Service.

Fishing, beach games, and survivor challenges will all be part of this wonderful night under the stars.
