• Pick up at Krabi International Airport (or bus depot) and transfer by passenger van to Ao Thalan for basic kayaking instructions and lessons in the ecology of mangrove forests and the influence of tide

We then set off to paddle our way through a spectacular limestone canyon that leads from the sea into intricate mangrove channels. Wildlife viewing may include: langurs, crab-eating macaques, river otters, fiddler crabs, mud skippers, monitor lizards, kingfishers and wading birds

Returning to our put-in point, we enjoy a hearty lunch at a restaurant built on pilings over the water, then board a charter boat to Koh Hong, a remote offshore island for an overnight adventure camp

Koh Hong is one of the most beautiful islands in the Andaman Sea, part of a national park, and our Robinson Crusoe-style home for the night. We will swim in crystal clear waters, snorkel over living corals, enjoy games on the powder white sandy beach and enjoy a fabulous seafood dinner

For the most adventuresome, there will be an opportunity to go night fishing before retiring to our beach hammocks and tents for the night
